Welcome to Double R Griffons
For 11 years we have been breeding quality hunting dogs, Wirehaired Pointing Griffons . We live in Southern Idaho and enjoy the Idaho living. We have many places we can hunt upland and waterfowl. Here at Double R Griffons, our dogs are bred for hunting and family companions. They are very well socialized and love family activities. All of our dogs and pups are purebred and AKC registered. We believe in socializing as soon as possible. We hope that new families will be able to enjoy our griffons and their loving and silly personalities.

What is the difference between a Wirehaired Pointing Griffons and German Wirehairs?
The Wirehaired Pointing Griffon was bred as a rugged, versatile sporting dog who works in close proximity to her handler, while the German Wirehaired Pointer is a longer-ranging sporting dog. Griffons are more easy going compared to German Wirehairs are more on the aloof side.
Are Wirehaired Pointing Griffons Hypoallergenic
The Wirehaired Pointing Griffon is considered hypoallergenic because of their low shedding coat.
Can you waterfowl hunt with Wirehair Pointing Griffons?
YES! The Wirehaired Pointing Griffons are a very versatile hunting dogs. They are able to adapt to almost any kind of condition. This makes them amazing to hunt upland and waterfowl!
